POST seasonal weight restrictions per Wis. Stat. 348.15. Posted road limits: single axle 12,000 lbs (6 tons), tandem axle 20,000 lbs (10 tons), gross vehicle weight 48,000 lbs (24 tons). ~1,400 miles of Class II state highways also under operational restrictions. Overweight permits required on all posted highways. Typically mid-March through mid-May. Contact county highway dept or osow@dot.wi.gov for detour routes and permit availability.
